Manuscript is a writing application that lets you outline, research, edit and export anywhere between a short story and an entire book – right on your iPad. Manuscript is not limited to writing stories – you can use it for note-taking, project management, storyboard, brainstorming and much more.

• Create a manuscript from scratch or import from Dropbox.
• Outline your manuscript using multiple levels – pitch, synopsis, index cards and individual chapter outline
• Color coded Index cards that serve as a repository for ideas, character development, reminders and more.
• Each chapter can be outlined individually. You can create empty chapters, outline them, and then pour content into them in any order you like.

Screenplay 1.1.7.3 deals with an issue that prevented some 3rd party information from being retained in the exported FDX. We are working on perfecting our FDX support and will release another version in the coming weeks.

In the coming weeks we will issue a new version of Screenplay that includes extended FDX support, including many more improvements and bug fixes.

• Import and Export to FDX – The industry standard FDX format was created by Final Draft. Screenplay now supports the script component inside Final Draft, meaning you can import and export screenplays to and from your iPhone/iPod, and then continue to work where you left off.
• Import from URL or Online Storage – Version 1.1 supports importing FDX and TXT files from a URL, and from a dedicated screenplay storage account that is currently provided completely free of charge to our users. We may change the nature of the service in future versions, so be sure to experiment with it.
• iPhone OS 3.0 Text Features – Cut/Copy/Paste, magnifying glass, auto-complete – all supported.

Note: If you are using iTunes Sync to upgrade Screenplay (rather than using the app store on the device itself), we recommend to restart your iPhone prior to running the app. This recommendation is not specific to Screenplay but to any app that is synced from iTunes.
