Can you tell us if any other formats (stageplay, 30 minute sitcom, one-hour drama) will be included in the iPad version as well as normal screenplay format?

I'd imagine even if pre-set templates weren't included, you could still create your own.

Templates, at least in current desktop screenwriting applications, are simply elements with definitions other than the default "Screenplay" template. We are working on such a feature but we don't know if it will be ready for the first version on the iPad.

I'm curious...is Screenplay for iPad any closer to the release date? Just watched to check in :P

We are pushing it by at least several weeks to incorporate several key features. Our intention is and always will be to present the most complete, advanced and user-friendly screenwriting app on the iPad.

Without naming names, I tried the latest version of a competing "for iPad" screenwriting app. It's terrible, even after several updates. Numerous crashes, bugs, and eccentricities that make it borederline unusable.

I'm looking forward to a screenplay program by a reputable company (i.e. Black Mana). If possible, send the beta to actual screenwriters or students for feedback and tweaking notes.

We have a beta version for Screenplay on the iPad, so it won't take long. Once we fix the last bugs and tweak it some more we will send it to beta testers who happen to be screenwriters and directors in the industry. Our goal is to present the best and most stable solution for screenwriting on mobile devices and our iPad version will do just that. We are also working on the iPhone version and it will be released after the iPad one.
